Competitions & Rules

You must be a registered attendee to enter and vote in all competitions. Entry into all competitions is free and open to instructors and attendees. Each registered attendee will receive one ballot for each competition in their registration packet. Keep up with these ballots because if you lose them you will not be allowed to get a replacement ballot and will not be able to vote.

Balloon Speed Competition

This is a timed competition. Contestants will have 10 minutes to make as many balloon creations as they can. All competitors will compete at the same time and must work alone. No balloons may be pre-inflated prior to the start of the competition and sculptures not completed when the time expires will be discarded and not counted in the final total. Each sculpture must be identifiable and different from the others. Winner will be announced and prize awarded at the end of the competition.

Face Painting Cheek Art Competition

This is a timed competition. Contestants will have 10 minutes to paint their design on a model of their choosing. All competitors will compete at the same time and must work alone. More than 1 design may be painted during the time limit, however, only one entry per contestant will be allowed. Only contestants and 1 model per contestant will be allowed in the competition room. All designs will be photographed, printed and displayed for voting on Thursday. Models must wash off the designs before leaving the competition room. First, second and third place winners will be posted at the registration table by the end of the dinner break.

Small Balloon Sculpture Competition

This is a timed competition. Contestants will have 10 minutes to make their sculpture. All competitors will compete at the same time and must work alone. No balloons may be pre-inflated prior to the start of the competition. Competition pieces will displayed on Thursday for voting. First, second and third place winners will be posted at the registration table by the end of the dinner break.

No balloons may be pre-inflated prior to the start of the competition. Competition pieces will displayed on Thursday for voting. First, second and third place winners will be posted at the registration table by the end of the dinner break.

Decorator Column Competition

This is a timed competition. Contestants will have 1 hour to create a their competition piece based on the scenario below. First, second and third place winners will be posted at the registration table by the end of the dinner break.
